TASHKENT. On October 29 a seminar on development and publication of scientific articles on the agrarian economy in the international thematic peer-reviewed magazines was held in Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers. The seminar was organized by Leibniz Institute of Agricultural Development in Transition Economies (IAMO) in cooperation with the Innovations and Scientific Research Cluster.
The event took place within “Social science knowledge and sustainable agricultural development along the Silk Road” Conference, organized in Tashkent from October 30 till November 1. The aim of the seminar was to share experience on the issues of preparing scientific articles to be published in prestigious international scientific magazines.
Welcoming speeches were given by TIIAME rector Dr Uktam Umurzakov and the lecturer of the seminar, Senior Research Officer Mr Nodir Djanibekov. Among the participants were PhD students, scientists and teachers of various institutes.
During the seminar, participants learned that when preparing a scientific article for submission to a peer-reviewed international magazine, one of the key points is the structuring of the research presentation in the language of the periodical. In addition, Nodir Djanibekov spoke about the generally accepted rules that should be followed when writing an academic article in a foreign language, as well as the basic standard requirements that should be followed in the publication in English in peer-reviewed scientific magazines on the agrarian economy.
“Understanding the process of promoting the results of a scientific research in the world of academic society through the publication of articles in scientific magazines plays an important role in science. I hope this seminar will be useful for the further development of the academic society in the field of agrarian economics,” said Mr Djanibekov.
Then, all participants discussed possible topics and magazines for scientific articles. The organizers also noted that it was planned to discuss the possible opening of the courses under TIIAME on writing scientific articles.
It should be mentioned that CAREC specialists actively participate the “Social science knowledge and sustainable agricultural development along the Silk Road” Conference with presentations on social sciences contributions to the Central Asian reform agenda and research-based methods in enhancing water resources management.
