Pamir - Tajikistan - On July 14 - a workshop on " Cleantech Financing for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises" will be held.
The MSMEs Cleantech Finance Workshop is specifically designed for MSMEs active in the Resource Efficiency in Agricultural Production and Processing (REAP) project and aims to deepen their understanding of the terminology, ecosystem and access to finance. With a focus on sustainable consumption and production ("SCP") practices, the workshop seeks to bring together around 30 MSMEs working to incorporate clean technologies into their industrial processes and production.
In addition to comprehensive training on cleantech financing, the workshop will serve as a unique platform for networking between MSMEs and financial institutions. This opportunity will provide MSMEs with the necessary funds to implement high-cost SCP practices in their industries, contributing to the development of a more sustainable and resilient agri-food sector. In addition, the REAP project team will detail how the project can help in securing funding.
Workshop participants will gain invaluable knowledge, make important business connections, and gain insight into the financial resources and opportunities needed to achieve their sustainability goals.
The workshop is organized within the framework of the Resource Efficiency in Agricultural Production and Processing (REAP) project, funded by the EU SWITCH Asia Fund and implemented by the Regional Environmental Center of Central Asia (CAREC)
About REAP: REAP is a 4-year project (2020-2024) supported by the European Union (EU) under the SWITCH Asia Programme. This programme emphasizes sustainable consumption and production in small and medium enterprises (SMEs). REAP is targeted specifically at the agri-food production and processing sector in Uzbekistan and Tajikistan. It aims to introduce resource efficiency practices and technologies that lead to improved environmental quality and combat pollution.
