Dushanbe - Tajikistan - July 11 - REAP Workshop on Cleantech Financing for Financial Institutions (Part 2) was held on July 11, 2023. The workshop was a follow-up to the first workshop in December 2022, which was a great success.
According to REAP Project Manager Valeriya Orlova, this long-awaited event is designed to provide participating banks with practical tools and guidance for developing prototypes of Cleantech Finance products.
The workshop focuses on topics such as understanding existing financial products for MSMEs, showcasing best practices and success stories in cleantech finance, exploring the landscape of actors in cleantech finance, and creating a blueprint for cleantech finance instruments.
The workshop will help participating financial institutions to be better prepared to support MSMEs in accessing finance for investments in sustainable consumption and production (SCP). Stakeholders will receive further assistance from the REAP team in developing prototypes of new financial products specifically targeting MSMEs in agribusiness production and processing.
REAP's cleantech finance workshop serves as a platform for the development of sustainable finance practices and enables financial institutions to incentivize environmentally friendly investments. It contributes to the global transition to a greener and more sustainable future.
