Annual REAP project partners meeting in Dushanbe


Dushanbe - Tajikistan - On February 28 - March 2, the annual partners' meeting of the Resource Efficiency in Agricultural Production and Processing (REAP) project 8 February - 2 March 2023 the annual partners meeting of the project “Resource Efficiency in Agri-food Production and Processing in Central Asia” (REAP) was held.

The meeting was held onsite with five project partners organisations joining the meeting in person. Parts of the meeting were held in a hybrid format. As in previous partner meeting, this meeting began with a review of the past year, with each partner presenting what had been planned and achieved during the year.

One session of the meeting was dedicated to the presentation of a Digital Solution (DS). The main purpose of this DS is to help technical consultants to prepare reports. 

  

On the last day of the meeting, the technical consultants of the project were invited. They discussed a number of issues related to the implementation of the project, outlining the difficulties they had encountered. In the course of a lively discussion, the team arrived at a common solution to the problems encountered and made a plan for future work.

All in all 12 people participated live in the meeting, 17 joined online parts of the meeting. During three days of intensive discussions, the most important issues of the project were solved, day-to-day topics were discussed, the plan for the next year was made and resulted in 58 different actions. New goals were set and all participants left with fresh energy and a good plan for the next phase of the project.

The REAP project is implemented by an international consortium (with the financial support of the European Union) that includes: the National Association of Small and Medium Enterprises of Tajikistan (NAMSB), the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan (CCI of Uzbekistan), the German Consulting Bureau adelphi, Association for the Promotion of Recycling and Environmental Protection in Austria (AREC), STENUM Asia Society for Sustainable Development (STENUM Asia), Energy and Resources Institute (TERI). The consortium is led by the Regional Environmental Center of Central Asia (CAREC).
