Official Opening of the Training Center and “One Village – One Product” Store in Osh RESILAND KG

Publication date: 11 September 2025

A new training center and store have officially opened in Osh city (Kyrgyzstan) as part of the national initiative “One Village – One Product” (OVOP+1).

The new facility has become an important hub for supporting local producers and promoting natural products made in Kyrgyzstan.

The store offers a wide range of locally produced goods — honey, dried fruits, rice, grains, handmade cosmetics, and other natural products that reflect the richness of Kyrgyz land as well as the dedication of local farmers and artisans.

The opening was accompanied by the launch of a training center, where local entrepreneurs will be able to attend courses on marketing, packaging, sales, and digital technologies. The center will serve as a platform for growth, knowledge exchange, and enhancing the competitiveness of OVOP+1 participants.

The main goal of the event was the official inauguration of the new training center, which will host trainings and educational programs for local producers and beneficiaries under the KG RESILAND Project.

The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic, Public-Private Partnership programs in Osh and Batken regions, the Osh City Mayor’s Office, as well as representatives of KOICA, the Aga Khan Foundation, ARIS, the UN World Food Programme (WFP), OVOP producers, and brand committee members.

The initiative aims to promote sustainable community development, expand women’s economic participation, and strengthen the export potential of Kyrgyz products.

Following the official ceremony, guests took part in the ribbon-cutting, sampled OVOP products, attended a master class on making rice-based scrub, and enjoyed a cultural program featuring traditional Kyrgyz dances, songs, and musical performances.

“This opening is a valuable contribution to the development of the local economy, the support of domestic producers, and the expansion of opportunities for rural women and communities,” the organizers emphasized.

The OVOP+1 store and training center in Osh will serve as a permanent venue for showcasing Kyrgyz products, promoting local brands, and providing hands-on training for producers in line with modern market requirements.
