At the Central Asia Climate Change Conference (CACCC-2026), on April 23, 2026, Session 2.2 “Climate Finance and the Private Sector” will take place at the Congress Center (Hall No. 2 “TURKESTAN”).

The session will be held in a panel discussion format with key presentations, moderated by Elvira Borombaeva, President of the Association of Legal Entities “Small Hydropower Plants Association,” Kyrgyz Republic.

The session will bring together representatives of international organizations, development banks, government institutions, and the private sector to discuss the role of climate finance in the sustainable development of Central Asia. Key topics will include mobilizing private investment in green infrastructure, renewable energy, energy efficiency, and sustainable agriculture.

Particular attention will be given to instruments for de-risking investments and expanding financing, including green bonds, blended finance, and public-private partnerships. It is expected that the discussion will result in proposals for developing a regional climate finance ecosystem aligned with the goals of the Paris Agreement.

Recall, CACCC-2026 will take place within the Regional Ecological Summit in Astana, April 22-24, 2026.
