RESILAND Kyrgyzstan: Central Asia to Discuss Joint Efforts to Reduce Natural Disasters

Bishkek will host the Regional Dialogue, “Harmonizing Policies, Developing a Roadmap and Digital Tools for Coordinated Joint Efforts” from June 24 to 26, 2026.

The event will bring together representatives of government agencies, research organizations, and international partners from the Kyrgyz Republic, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

Date: June 24–26, 2026
Venue: Orion Hotel, Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic
Format: Hybrid (in person and online)


 

The event is organized by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Kyrgyz Republic in cooperation with the Regional Environmental Centre for Central Asia (CAREC) under the Resilient Landscapes in Central Asia (RESILAND CA+) Program.

Participants will discuss the development of joint mechanisms for the prevention of and response to natural hazards, many of which are transboundary in nature and affect multiple countries across the region.
