On January 16 a national meeting was held in Ashgabat with representatives of Turkmenistan public ecological organizations. On the meeting, organizations have voiced their suggestions on future cooperation and discussed the preparation for the II Central Asian International Environmental Forum, which will take place in Tashkent on June 5-8.
Representatives of the following environmental organizations participated in the discussion: Public association "Yashil Shokhle” (Green beam), Economic Association “Expert-Analitycal agency "Inanch-Vepa", Community of nature protection of Turkmenistan, “Ekodurmush” Public Association, “Yenme” Public Association, “Agama” Alpinist Club Public Association, “Mashgala” Public Association, "Tebigy Kuvvat" Enterprise of Public Association, Enterprise of Public Association "Bosfor", "Dyap-dessur" Economic Society.
The main result of the meeting is the identification of further steps in order to develop a list of the priority proposals on behalf of the public sector of Turkmenistan who works in the field of ecology, as a contribution to the II Central Asian International Environmental Forum in Tashkent.
