The project was implemented in Central Asian region in coordination with the European Environmental Agency (EEA) to ensure a link with SEIS in EECCA countries. The project promoted Shared Environmental Information System (SEIS) as a tool to improve environmental governance in countries, information exchange and regional cooperation.
  • Organization of national seminar-consultations for national authorities and experts;
  • Organization of a regional inter-agency working group on SEIS;
  • Organization of national multistakeholder dialogues on access to environmental information, including national indicators sets, statistics, state of environment reports
  • Publication of promotional materials and case studies of best practices environmental governance, reporting, and SEIS
  • Development of the analytical report on implementing SEIS in CA countries;
  • Conduct a gap analysis and report on the state of the water statistics in Kyrgyzstan

  • NGOs, experts and scientists of Central Asia;
  • leading experts, policy-makers and practitioners of EECCA.

  • National consultations and seminars to raise awareness about SEIS were conducted in 5 countries
